As a woman, wife, high school English teacher, daughter and self, I’m proud to tell about what I’ve learned from Aesthetic Realism, the philosophy founded by Eli Siegel (1902-1978)—American poet, critic and educator.

Some of the papers you'll find here describe the great effectiveness of the Aesthetic Realism Teaching Method, which I've used with great success for 25 years in New York public schools. There are also papers by me and others on subjects that concern everyone, including love, kindness, justice, and how to see people. And you'll find reports I’ve written of lectures by Eli Siegel and classes taught by Ellen Reiss, with whom I study, on such topics as poetry, the relation of art and science, and the wonderful meaning of idioms.

To start reading, click on any of the links to the left or right. You can also check out my blogs: "Aesthetic Realism and the Works of Edith Wharton," and "The Aesthetics of..." by clicking here. Enjoy!
